Bed Intentions is a verified B Corp Company
Which means that we are legally accountable to ALL of our stakeholders; workers, communities, customers, suppliers and the environment, not just our shareholders. This means that all the decisions that we make need to be fair and beneficial to the people we work with, as well as the environment.
Certified B Corporations are committed to environmental stewardship. We go beyond compliance, adopting sustainable practices that reduce their ecological footprint. |
We design products that aim to encourage better recycling habits, (so you can be more at peace with yourself.) We measure and track our carbon footprint with the help of Our Trace and we off-set this by purchasing carbon credits that go towards projects that aid the environment. We are acutely aware of the limitations of carbon credits, so we aim to reduce our carbon footprint wherever possible. |
B Corp companies are also required to champion social responsibility by prioritising fair labour practices, fostering diversity and inclusion, and contributing to their communities
We are women owned and we work with >50% female owned suppliers. We are currently building and developing an extensive partnership with BlaQ, who are a not for profit organisation for Aboriginal Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual + Sistergirl and Brotherboy (LGBTQ+SB) Peoples and Communities.
We have also developed an employee development and entrepreneurship program that aims to provide opportunities to marginalised groups. We also work with BlaQ, to bring suitable individuals into this program.
One of our core values at Bed Intentions is transparency. This value is important to us so that others can see what we are trying to do and hopefully become inspired, or can learn from our mistakes. By providing a clear view of our impact, operations, and goals, we hope to build trust with customers, employees, and potential investors alike.
Becoming a Certified B Corp is not just a business decision; it's a declaration of our commitment to a triple bottom line—people, planet, and profit. The benefits extend far beyond financial gains, creating a ripple effect that we hope touches employees, consumers, and the global community.
In a world hungry for purpose, being a B Corp is not just a choice; it's a magical journey where business becomes a powerful force for good.
